Tu Quoque

Pronounced too-kwo-kwee, it literally translates as “you too”. Instead of formulating a rebuttal to an argument, you respond with criticism or imply hypocrisy.

For Example:
John: Well, in your argument you are committing the bandwagon fallacy when you say that health care should be universal simply because other countries are doing it.

Jane: And you didn’t commit a fallacy? Earlier you were saying that everyone who can’t afford health insurance is spending their money on drugs and alcohol while not being a product to society. That’s a hasty generalization!

Instead of addressing the issue with the bandwagon fallacy, Jane immediately went into criticizing John for something he said earlier in the argument.
